We are celebrating a very Happy Easter here at the house by donating more than 120 chocolate Easter eggs to  Sunshine House.

Every year the house does some kind of charity fundraising project – and this year it was to collect chocolate eggs to donate to Sunshine House in Walker Street, Hull, which cares for seriously ill and disabled children.

Wendy Jones, Manager of the House, said: “Everyone has been so supportive of our collection this year. Neil Fairburn Decorating Services and staff from Phoenix have also kindly donated 60 eggs as well. We really hope this huge delivery of chocolate eggs brings some joy to the children at Sunshine House.”

Andy Barber of the Smile Foundation who will deliver the eggs to Sunshine House on behalf of the ladies at Holderness House, said: We are absolutely delighted with the number of eggs collected – thank you! This is the first Easter the children have been back in Sunshine House after it was flooded. Last year they missed out on an Easter party and chocolate eggs – so this will be a special Easter for everyone.

“Thank you for the time and effort that has gone into collecting this number of eggs – gifts in kind like this are always very special. This will raise plenty of smiles from the children at Sunshine House and their siblings.”
